Nuts add crunch, coffee adds depth, all you need to add is your favorite hot drink.

Ingredients

Yields 10 bars

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • dash salt
  • ½ cup oil
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 2 Tbsp coffee granules, dissolved in 1 cup hot water
  • 1½ cups chopped walnuts


Preparation

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

Mix all ingredients until smooth. Spread into a 10x16-inch (25x40-cm) baking pan and bake for 30 minutes.

Cool and cut into 1x3-inch (2½x7½-cm) bars.
