Teshuvah — Writing Home
Dear Tatty and Mommy,
You asked me to take Shira along when I went to visit Shuli, and I didn’t want to, I really didn’t. So I told you that it wasn’t fair, and I said a lot of other stuff besides. Stuff that I shouldn’t have said. Even as I said them I could see you were disappointed in me. When I went to my bedroom, I cried. I was upset, but it wasn’t just that. I wasn’t proud of myself.
Mommy, you said that you’re happy to discuss it when I don’t want to do something, but that I shouldn’t talk in a chutzpahdig way.
So I’m writing to apologize. I’m sorry that I spoke like that. I’ll try not to in the future.
Lots of love,
Ruchelle
