Madame Chamberlaine’s Gorgeous Birthday Gift

Tzipie Wolner

Wham! Akiva banged the door. “Hey Shprintzi! Come quick!” I took the steps two at a time. “There’s a package for you!” “Me?” I’ve never received a package before. “Who’s it from?”

illustration young girl  To my cherie!

Bon Anniversaire to you!!

So, ma petite, do you know what to give a 900-pound gorilla on his birthday?

I don’t know either, but you better hope that he likes it!!

I’m giving you these pretty boucles d’oreilles and I know that you’ll love them. I made them myself and hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them for you!!

With lots of my love,

Madame Chamberlaine

France

“Wow! She remembered. My birthday isn’t until next Tuesday. She’s early!”
