The wilted campers held their half-melted treats weakly and yawned repeatedly, one after the other. “Isn’t it supposed to be cool in the mountains?” Dassi asked and then sighed. “I could have stayed in the city if I wanted to cook an egg on the sidewalk!”

I bet we can come up with dozens of other activities,” Devorah challenged them, “and after we do, I’m going to give each one of you credit in my Secret Book of Lists.” “Um, Devorah,” Shiffy whispered into her ear, “If it’s such a secret, how come you keep on telling us about it?” “So far I’ve only shared my secret lists with my friends,” Devorah answered proudly and loudly, causing Shiffy to shuffle backward. “But one day, b’ezras Hashem, I’m going to publish it. Then you’ll all be happy to see your names in it.”
