The Ramban was born in Spain, but he passed away in Eretz Yisrael. How that came to be is a fascinating story.   One day, while still living in Spain, the Ramban was called to appear before the powerful King James of Aragon. When he arrived at the king’s palace the room was full of Christian monks, friars, and one other Jew, Pablo Christiani. Pablo was a terrible rasha, a man who had given up his Yiddishkeit, converted to Catholicism, and made lots of trouble for the Jews.
