Everywhere we go we’re surrounded by all kinds of symbols — so many so that we barely even think about them. Where did these symbols come from, and when?
“Please, Ma?” Shalom turned his big blue eyes on his mother with a pleading expression. “It’s nonsense.” Mommy was firm, while Shalom fingered the shirt longingly. “Do you really think we should pay an extra $15 for the exact same shirt because it has a little horse on the upper right-hand corner?”
