The very special craft of lace embroidery has been popular for more than 400 years in Bruges, a charming town in Belgium. The local women would sit for hours at a stretch, weaving and stitching threads with a single needle, to create perfectly formed patterns and designs. Today, lace making is still going strong in Bruges. Our writer Yehudit tells us about her visit to this town.
